Editorial and Source Policy

Our articles are built around verifiable sources rather than assumptions about private employee systems. Company-specific claims should be supported wherever possible by current Nordstrom materials such as the Nordstrom Careers site, benefits documents, job postings and other public company pages.

When describing Okta or Workday functionality, we prefer the official documentation of those platforms. For example, Workday states that employees should obtain their employer’s unique sign-in page from HR or IT, and Okta describes Okta Verify as an authentication application for confirming identity when accessing protected resources.

Community discussions can be useful for discovering questions people ask, but anonymous posts are not treated as authoritative evidence about Nordstrom systems.

Articles should display a Last reviewed date only after the underlying sources have actually been checked again. Material that can change—benefits, employee procedures, software behavior or company links—should be reviewed more frequently than historical context.

No fictional worker interviews, fabricated quotes, invented salaries or invented internal features are permitted.
